31 January 2007 - New mobile technology set to spur on content services
January 2007 - iOTA Sphere

A unique technology combining the convenience of text messaging with the content of the internet launches today; making a new generation of mobile phone services possible. iOTA Sphere's patent-pending technology provides both content providers and mobile network operators with a new easy-to-use, enduring, attractive consumer application to maximise data revenues.

"To capitalise on mobile data services you need to retain the interest of the mobile user first", said iOTA Sphere's Managing Director, Bruce Eley. "We have witnessed many attempts to replace the mobile browser, yet the declining number of users clearly shows that the formula is not yet right. Whilst growth in data services is still largely attributed to SMS".

iOTA Sphere's On-Device Services brings the SMS experience to data services with a distinct focus on usability. On-Device Services retains the user's interest by providing a fast, simple experience that enables service reuse with responses viewable offline. "This technology has the potential to attract and retain large subscriber bases even with people who have never used the mobile internet, because of its focus on usability and keeping the user interface familiar.", Eley suggests.

Today, On-Device Portals partially solve the long waiting periods of Mobile Internet browsing by making content available offline. However, users have to bear the high data cost involved for downloading the content, even when they do not need it all. "Users will pay for content they consume if they know exactly how much it costs, and what they are getting for their money" commented Bruce Eley. "With iOTA On-Device Services, people are only sent the information they have requested, meaning they are not wasting their time and money looking at data that isn't relevant to them."

The iOTA On-Device Services is a turn-key solution to rapidly deploy new services and manage their life-cycle. The solution allows the monetization of services through transactional or subscription-based charging. This provides Operators and content providers, such as media groups, with a new opportunity to generate revenues streams whilst leveraging their existing investment in WAP portals, internet content and Service Delivery Platforms.

04 November 2006 - iOTA Sphere Files for Patent
iOTA Sphere has filed for a patent with the U.K. patent office for its Offline Wizard-based Transaction Services technology. This provides iOTA Sphere with the platform to protect its technology, while enabling mobile network operators and service providers to utilize creative innovation for mobile service management.
